A RIVER RUNS THROUGH IT

Set gently between a protected fish stream and the towering pines that frame it. This multi generational home found its place by respecting years of nature that was already there. The house rose slowly at the edge of the river, not as an interruption but as a continuation of the river bank. By carefully studying the site, shaping the home to follow the land, and working thoughtfully within zoning requirements, we transformed limits into opportunities.

Inside the younger generation claimed spaces filled with motion and noise, where footsteps echoed with ambition and laughter spilled freely down the halls. Between them all, the house learned how to listen. Children moved like seasons through the rooms, growing taller against doorframes that had once seemed impossibly high. As years passed, the house ages with grace, collecting marks not of wear but of belonging. A worn stair tread remembered a thousand hurried descents. The youngest learn to walk where the oldest pause to rest. In this home, time did not move forward alone; it folded in on itself, weaving generations into a single, living story that continues to write itself every day.
